Jonathan Smith

Joins Aladdin in a Magic Adventure

With love from,

Mawmaw and Pawpaw

June 22, 2018

One day at the park, Johnathan Smith, age 5, from Columbus, Ohio, was digging in the sand when he found a sparkling object.

"It's half a scarab jewel," said John.

"Wait till I show this to Bobby, Jimmy and Tommy!"

Suddenly John looked up and saw the most amazing sight. Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and a Abu were floating on the Magic Carpet!

John, we can't find the Genie. He's been missing for a long time," said Aladdin.

"The magic carpet is going to fly us around the world to look for him. Would you like to come along?"

John didn't have to think about it twice!

"I'll be happy to help you," he said.

"OK, John," said Aladdin. "Climb aboard. Our first stop is the jungle!"

Deep within the jungle, they found a tiger who was a cousin of Princess Jasmine's pet, Rajah.

"Have you seen the Genie?" Ask Jasmine. The tiger shook its head. Then he showed them a nearby rock on the jungle floor.

"Look! That rock is shaped like a pyramid," shouted John. "The tiger is telling us to go to the pyramids in the desert to search for the Genie."

"You're right," agreed Aladdin. "Let's go!"

The magic carpet whisked the travelers off to the desert. They looked all around the pyramids, but there was no sign of the Genie.

"He must be out there somewhere," said Aladdin, "but the desert is too big. We'll never find the Genie on our own."

"I have an idea," said John. "Let's go to the cave of wonders! Maybe we'll discover some magic there to help us find the Genie."

John, Aladdin, Jasmine, and Abu search and search, but there was no sign of the cave of wonders. Then John remembered the scarab in his pocket and said, "If we had the other half of the scarab, we could call for the tiger-god of the cave."

I have the other half," cried Aladdin.

John held up the two pieces and carefully fit them together. With a giant rumble, the tiger-god's head appeared before them.

"Proceed," said the tiger-god. "Search deep within for the magic mirror."

John and his friends entered the cave of wonder and found themselves in a huge cavern filled with mountains of gold! John discovered the giant mirror first. Suddenly the mirror began to glimmer, an image of the Genie appeared. He was stuck in some quicksand!

"He's sinking fast!" Yelled John. "We've got to hurry!"

The magic carpet transported John, Aladdin, Jasmine and a Abu to the edge of the quicksand where the Genie was stuck.

"Yo, rugman! Glad to see you," cried out the Genie, as the magic carpet, with help from the others, pulled him out of the quicksand. "Guess I should be more careful about those sand traps when I'm playing golf. I keep forgetting I'm not as powerful as I used to be."

Because of her bravery Johnathan Smith was honored back in Agrabah with the biggest parade he had ever seen! There was a marching band and more elephants and camels and peacocks then she could imagine.

"This is unbelievable! "Said John to his friends. "I wish Bobby, Jimmy and Tommy could see me now!"

After the parade, everyone went to the palace, where a giant feast was held to honor John.

"We hope you'll stay here in Agrabah forever," said Aladdin.

"You can live with us in the palace," added Jasmine.

"Thank you for the offer," said John. "But I have to get back to Columbus, Ohio, before everyone starts worrying about me. I would like to come back to visit you, though."

I'm ready to hit the road again," said the Genie. "But this time I'm going to try a tennis tournament. My first stop is Columbus, Ohio. Can I give you a lift, John?"

"You sure can," said John. "Just wait until I tell Bobby, Jimmy and Tommy about my adventure!"

As John and the Genie soared away into the sky Aladdin and Princess Jasmine called out, "Don't forget to come back and visit us again soon!"

The End
