Kelsey Shaye Whiting
shares Newborn Memories with the Disney Babies
With love from,
Mawmaw and Pawpaw
June 22, 2018
Newborn Kelsey Shaye Whiting, from Keller, Texas, was so excited she could hardly wait. This was a very special day for Kelsey. Garrett, Tevin, and Aunt Alysa had been busy preparing for her arrival to the world.
To celebrate her birth, Mommy and Daddy decided to visit the Disney Babies. Outside Baby Mickey's house was a big sign that read, "Congratulations! It's a girl!" Kelsey was the newest arrival to the Whiting family, born on April 4, 2000, and Mommy and Daddy loved their new baby girl.
Delighted that she was finally here, everyone gave her a warm welcome. Mommy and Daddy knew that Kelsey would soon be good friends with the Disney Babies.
Kelsey thought Mickey's house was beautiful as Mickey showed everyone around. Mickey led them to the living room and showed Kelsey his favorite stuffed animal.
Next stop was Mickey's playroom. Baby Daisy was happily drawing and Minnie decided to join her. Minnie sat on the floor next to Daisy and began to pick out different colors of crayons. Mickey's playroom had so many books and toys!
Mommy and Daddy said, "Kelsey, you, too, will have a special place to play in your new house."
Minnie and Daisy tried to imagine what Kelsey would like when she grew up and began to draw her.
Goofy and Donald pulled a drum and a toy piano off the shelf and started playing them. Soon all the Disney Babies joined in. Mickey played the tambourine. Minnie played the flute and Daisy played the horn. The Disney Babies made wonderful music together. They even played a special song dedicated to Kelsey Shaye Whiting, the most precious girl in Keller, Texas.
Everyone thought they saw Kelsey smiling as she listened to the delightful melody. Mommy and Daddy cuddled Kelsey and sang a sweet little song to her.
After a while, the Disney Babies went to the kitchen to get a snack. In the kitchen was a cake with the words. "Welcome to the World, Kelsey Shaye Whiting," written on it.
Kelsey was only able to drink milk, but Garrett, Tevin, and Aunt Alysa could tell that Kelsey liked the pretty cake.
Everyone made quite a mess in the kitchen so the Disney Babies went upstairs to take a bubble bath. Kelsey was happy when Mommy and Daddy picked her up and said, "Kelsey, it's all right if you go along, too."
After their bath, the Disney Babies got dressed so they could go outside and play. Garrett, Tevin, and Aunt Alysa knew that Kelsey would need help getting dressed for a while. For now, Mommy and Daddy were amazed just to see Kelsey waving her hands or kicking her feet.
Mommy and Daddy said, "Kelsey, soon you will be tall enough to reach the drawer and get dressed by yourself."
Mickey showed everyone the way to his favorite playground. It was a beautiful day for a trip to the park. The birds were singing and colorful flowers were blooming. Kelsey was excited about her first walk with Mommy and Daddy.
The Disney Babies enjoyed riding the seesaw, swinging on the swing, and rolling in the soft green grass. Mommy and Daddy said, "Kelsey, soon you will be able to walk and play."
Kelsey was so cute and adorable that people in the park stopped to admire her.
Everyone was sleepy after playing in the park. When the Disney Babies came back to Mickey's house, they took a nap. The Disney Babies snuggled happily next to each other in Mickey's great big bed.
Kelsey knew that Mommy and Daddy didn't get much sleep that day she was born. Mommy and Daddy said, "Kelsey, you will sleep in a comfortable crib when we get to your new home."
After the nap, the Disney Babies washed up and fixed their hair. Minnie puffed her pretty blue bow. Daisy smiled at herself in the mirror. Mickey combed his hair. Goofy did a good job of brushing his teeth, even though he didn't have many.
Mommy and Daddy told Kelsey, "You will have lots of teeth when you are older."
Then it was time to leave Mickey's house. The Disney Babies had planned the perfect farewell for Kelsey. They made a special good-bye parade for her, riding their toys from Mickey's playroom to the front door. Then, they unrolled a banner that said: "Kelsey, Come Back and Visit Again."
Mommy and Daddy promised that Kelsey would be back to play soon. The Disney Babies waved good-bye as Mommy and Daddy carried Kelsey to her own home in Keller, Texas.
